Educational Blogging

Educational leaders could use blogs in many ways.  One would be to keep a school blog to communicate with parents and the community outside the school.  Testing schedules, programs, and school events could be shared this way.  Also, educational resources for parents could be posted.

Another way an educational leader could use blogs would be to communicate with classroom teachers or staff members.  Meeting notes, announcements, and schedules could all be shared through blogging.

  1. Lori, these are great examples of how educational leaders can use blogs for communication. I would definitely like to start a blog for my campus and am looking forward to doing so in the future.
Please stop by my blog sometime!

  2. Lori, I totally agree with you on how to possibly use the blogs! I think they can be used easily to get information back and forth quickly and without twenty people hitting the "reply all" button on the email.

  3. I love the idea of using the blog to communicate with teachers. Often times I have teachers miss early morning meetings because they don't keep an organized calendar. If they could quickly pull up the blog versus having to log into our remote access server, which takes forever to load, maybe we'd have better meeting attendance.
